Aim and Scope
In industry there is an increasing use of computer algebraicstructures in all the design, analysis, prototyping, testing, manufacturing and implementation stages of the product development process. The main goal of this session is to bring together computational algebraist researchers and engineering researchers. The computational algebra can be very usefull in a various engineering applications, specially in computer aided mechanical engineering, Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufactoring, Dynamical Systems and Simulation, Robotic Systems an so on. The session consists of presentations in the main subjects of both computational algebra and mechanical engineering . All aspects of algebra applied to mechanic are welcome. Possible topics of the session "Computational algebraic structures and engineering applications" include but are not limited to:
  • computational group theory
  • computational geometry
  • computational topology
  • geometric algebra
  • engineering mathematics
  • CA methods and algorithms for solving engineering problems
  • modelling in different areas of engineering
  • simplification and analysis of models
  • engineering design
  • presentations of computer algebra software for engineering
  • mechanical and structural mechanics modelling
  • thermal components modelling
  • applications in car design
  • hybrid application for symbolic and numeric simulations
